 Speaker Newt Gingrich to appear in Savannah June 21

      The Savannah Tea Party announces that Speaker Gingrich will be the first person to speak in the series of: “Election 2012 – Presidential Candidates.” Believing that the best voter is the informed voter, the Tea Party will invite all presidential candidates to speak in Savannah so the voters can hear them and see them in person. We can’t promise that they will all come.

     The series will begin with Speaker Gingrich on June 21, at the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm Street. The doors will open at 6:00 pm with Speaker Gingrich appearing about 6:45 followed by a Question and Answer period.  One of his documentaries : “A City Upon a Hill” which explores the concept of American Exceptionalism from its origin to the present day will follow while he signs his books. Seating in the auditorium is limited to 360 and there will be adjacent rooms where seating will be provided and the sound will be projected in. To help cover the cost of the event there will be a $5.00 admission charge.

       Before and after the program Speaker Gingrich’s books and DVDs will be available for purchase. Prices will range from $15.00 to $30.00, cash or check only. He will remain after the program to personally sign the books. Additional groups participating in the presentation of this first in a series of Presidential Candidates are the Effingham Tea Party, Savannah Area Republican Women, Teen-Age Republicans of Savannah.
