Here's what I recall as we attempted to visit Attorney General Thurbert Baker's office (he's also running for Governor).
I entered the Judicial Bldg in order to deliver several letters to the Attorney General's Office, accompanied by five Patriots, Bob Mcewen, Tom Everette, Richard Waters, Stan Stones and I think Ginny Knorr. Most of these people are seniors who have served our country in the military.
The guard on duty would NOT LET US INTO THE BUILDING. She asked me why we were there to see the Attorney General. I told her we were there to discuss states rights regarding the health care bill. She asked if we had an appointment and I told her that we did not, even though I had been attempting to make an appointment for two weeks. She told us that we could not go in. I explained to her that we wanted to deliver the letters to his assistant or secretary. The female guard, Officer Lester, started getting loud and pacing back and forth. Office Lester repeated that we had to leave because we did not have an appointment, and we could not stand there to write a letter. (I was sorting through my papers to find the letters we wanted to deliver and to look for Baker's phone number). She became loud and hostile when Bob reminded her that it was a public building that was paid for with our tax dollars. We repeated our request and that we had every right to enter the building during normal business hours, which it was. It was approximately 2:45p.m. I asked her repeatedly for her name, as I did not have contacts on me and could not read her badge. She refused multiple times.
She got on the radio and called a "police code" out and several armed men arrived on the scene with guns. They came in the front door and literally surrounded our small group. I was writing a note to the Attorney General when a large armed officer, Officer Willingham, asked what we were doing there. We again explained that we were attempting to enter a public building to hand deliver letters from residents of Georgia to the secretary of the Attorney General or to Darrell Robinson. I was shaking badly as I wrote a note to Mr. Baker, as I was quite intimidated by being surrounded by large men with guns, all because I wanted to enter a public building and deliver letters. The guard kept repeating that we did not have an appointment with Baker, to which we responded that we wanted to see his secretary or Mr. Robinson. We told them that we had just visited the Governor's office without a problem, even though we did not have an appointment. We were assertive but did not shout, did not become hostile, or did not become threatening in any way.
We were surprisingly denied access to the public building. I put the letters that I had brought with me into the envelope provided by the guard, along with the note I had written. I sealed the envelope and then noted that the guard had written "health reform" on it. I crossed it out and wrote Thurbert Baker. I found it very strange that she had written "health reform" on it and not his name.
The guards were quite intimidating, insisting we leave the building. I asked for the name of the responding officer who told us to leave. He told us he was Officer Willingham. I again asked for the name of the person at the security desk. She identified herself as Officer Lester. It should be noted that two other people were allowed access to the building while we were there but we were not granted the same. As we left the building, we saw another two police cars arrive who were also armed.
We went to the building next door to join others who had made the pilgrimage to distribute letters to elected representatives with whom they did not have appointments. The same armed officers entered the lobby and once again surrounded the group. They said something to the security guards that I did not hear, as I was helping Dawn Forbes get room assignments from another security guard. The armed officers subsequently left the building and we continued tp deliver our letters without incident.

Another Account of the Atlanta Trip by: Stan Stones-20101JAN15
I was among the 13th Colony Patriots group that went to Atlanta today. The rally was rousing and being with other like minded patriots was a joy! Our purpose was to see our state legislators, reminding them of their elected duties to protect the citizenry from unconstitutional legislation being proposed by Washington. I had no trouble getting into Rep. Bob Bryant's office - representative for Garden City, Ga - he was out of town but I was able to leave a personal letter with his secretary urging him to support state legislation protecting the sovereignty of the state of Georgia from federal infringement. The Governor's office was also helpful in conveying this message to the Governor, Sonny Perdue. Senator Buddy Carter's office was darkened we were unable to leave anything with him or his office staff. Upon entering the Judicial Office Building, in an attempt to convey our message to Attorney General Baker, the group that I was with was greeted with hostility, not even allowing us to enter the lobby, on the premise that AG Baker was not in. Our attempts to leave our letters with his assistant or office staff were met by having 5 or 6 armed security officers called on us! Elizabeth placed our letters, along with a note to the Attorney General, about the way we had been treated, along with the names of the security officers. Upon returning to the Coverdell Office building, to meet with other legislators, our group was denied access for no good reason and the same security officers arrived. These were the same individuals that had allowed me easy access, less than an hour before.
Our presence was always peaceful and respectful but it appeared to me that these state employees had been instructed to deny access to our group for some unknown reason. I was alarmed that Georgia citizens were treated in such a fashion, and with the arrogance of people WE actually employ! I have been with the "13th Colony" group on trips to Washington to meet with our federal legislators. On those occasions, we were always treated in the same way that we came - with respect - while our own state government officials would treat us with such disrespect. Such actions are alarming and the Governor's office, along with the AG and elected representatives, will be notified!

Have you heard of Keynesian Economics?
Lately I have been asking many folks if they have heard of Keynesian Economics and pretty much everyone shrugged their shoulders. Only economists and politicians should know about this, right?
Well, reality is that very few of our politicians know the principles of Keynesian Economics, yet this type of economic rescue has been used for years by our government leaders. Sounds bizarre but it's true. The effects of Keynesian Economics have been seen during the 1929 Depression.
In a nutshell, Keynesian Economics imply that the best way for a country to have economic growth is through the help (interference) of the government. The Keynesian principles imply that the Basics of a Free Market Economy do not work and the (proven) laws of supply and demand cannot function without the "artificial" help of government.
I believe that if WE, the people of this country, become the EDUCATED Majority we can change the direction in which our country is heading. We can make a difference for our kids, grandkids, and the ones after. Please take 7 minutes to learn Lesson 101 on Keynesian Economics.
