Savannah - Candidate for U.S Congress 12th District, Jeanne Seaver will hold a press conference Saturday, November 7th at 12 pm in front of the Savannah offices of Rep. John Barrow at 450 Mall Boulevard (corner of Hodgson Memorial & Mall Blvd., behind Suntrust Bank).
Congress hopes to bring the 1,900 page health care bill to a vote this weekend, possibly in the middle of the night or early morning hours, but Congressman Barrow has not stated publicly whether he plans to vote yes or no on the bill or whether he has read it. Sources tell us that the large lunch time turnout yesterday at Barrow's office made an impact on the representative, but he is still silent on how he intends to vote.

All media is urged to attend as well as concerned citizens who have voiced their opposition.

Seaver Challenges Barrow: SAY NO TO HEALTH CARE BILL

Savannah - On Thursday November 5, 2009 at 12:00 noon, Jeanne Seaver will hold a press conference outside Congressman John Barrow's office at 450 Mall Boulevard to speak for Georgians in asking Congressman Barrow to stand strong and vote NO against the current 1,900 page health care bill.

"Congressman John Barrow has stated on several occasions that he will vote for a bill that is

'good enough.' I don't think 'good enough' should be the standard by which

you fundamentally change the best healthcare system in the world" says Jeanne Seaver, candidate for the 12th District.

"Tort reform was one of the biggest sticklers for me," said Seaver. "Trial lawyers helped write every version of bill HR 3200, yet they are one of the biggest problems driving up costs in the system. A healthcare reform bill without real tort reform is like a truck without tires. It's simply not going to function well."

Seaver supports no Medicare cuts for seniors,no government funded abortions, no increases in our national debt, no to rationed care and death panels,no to government-ran healthcare or public option.

Seaver encourages Georgians statewide to plan their own press conferences this Thursday to stand up for their freedom to choose their own healthcare options. Seaver believes there are ways to lower health care costs for Americans in a fiscally responsible way without expanding entitlements and increasing taxes on middle-class Americans.
